Rich Wherry, AssocRICS, TCInstCES
Assistant Survey Manager

Rich joined Kemp in 2005 as an Engineer’s Assistant on the A30 Gossmoor Bypass. He then gained experience assisting with setting out before transitioning into land surveying, where he spent several years developing his expertise.

In 2009, Rich moved to Seeka, where he worked for three years before returning to a combined role in setting out and land surveying. In 2014, he became a qualified UAV pilot, further expanding his technical skills. He later earned Technical Membership with the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and Associate Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

In 2015, Rich took a career break from Kemp to work as a surveyor in New Zealand before returning in 2017 as a site engineer. He later transitioned back into land surveying, bringing his experience full circle.

Now, as Assistant Survey Manager, Rich oversees land, measured building, and utility surveys while leading our UAV operations. He ensures teams are well-prepared before projects and plays a key role in training junior team members.

Outside of work, Rich enjoys watersports, coastal walks, live music, and discovering new food spots.
